Well, today has been pretty regular.
I pretty much did math homework and played video games and sat around all day. I went to Boy Scout Family Fest for an hour, but that wasn’t much. I pretty much just sat around for an hour and watched people walk by. My mom made some pretty good shrimp and pasta salad for dinner, so that was excellent.
My AP tests are quickly advancing, after them my life will most certainly be different. Pretty much 3/4 of my homework will be totally gone. Hopefully I feel well about the test so I won’t have to worry about it until I get my results.
With nothing really going on besides school, it’s hard to write about anything else.
Tomorrow’s church, I’m almost confirmed.

Well, tonight was my first practice AP World History test.
Not that bad.
The 70 multiple choice section was probably the part I was the most well prepared for, I think I did alright. The DBQ was okay, I didn’t put anything about change over time though, hopefully that’s not some sort of an auto-F. The essays, I pretty much knew what I was talking about. Hopefully I’ll get a 3, maybe if I get lucky a 4. Now that I know what to expect and what I need to study for the real test, hopefully I can improve from now until then.
Today before the test, I went to Tijuana Flats with Kristina, Omar, and Lauren, which was very fun. We studied/mainly ate. The food there is yummy, and I don’t get sick of of it. Double bonus.

AP World History - Thursday, May 15, 2008
AP Psychology - Tuesday, May 13, 2008
Basically the story of my life, these two dates. Psychology, not as much, but World History is either on my mind, or being reminded of by Ms. McDougald. World History is just plain an impossible subject to learn. Think about it. Studying today, April 24, 2008, alone could take years.
AND WE HAVE THE ENTIRE WORLD FOR ALL OF TIME. All 3,650,000 days since 8000 B.C. I feel like i know so many random snippets of things, but not the really anything overall. And, all of the random Chinese and Japanese names are exactly the same and get all mixed up. Hopefully the test will just be random vocab. Yeah right.
Psychology, I will do well on. Doc is a good teacher, and I’ll either get a 4 or a 5 on the AP test. Hopefully.
Not to mention, I have to keep up all of my other grades as well. Last quarter, I got a B in Spanish. You know, like the subject that I’ve never gotten below a 95 in? Popped a solid 86. That means I have to get at least a 94 this nine weeks to get an A. Math, I pulled a sweet A. Hopefully I’ll be able to keep it.
Since school is about 93% of my life, the other 7% consists of eating, sleeping, playing Rock Band, and hanging out with my friends. Keep in mind that most of this ‘hang out’ time is at study sessions, not really having fun. I have a feeling this Summer is going to be full of sleep.
This March was another year of Spring Training, which was great, as usual. The main deal was a camping trip with Eric, and my dad, where we saw three separate games of the Tigers. Camping is always fun, but add in Spring Training and it’s da bomb.
I’m going to tag this post with Extreme Sports, being in Ms. McDougald’s classroom for one hour is enough extremity for an entire week.

Since I didn’t cover it in my last post, Rock Band should at least get some action on this blog.
We journeyed to Wal-Mart at midnight on the night of its realease, and they only had the PS3 version. Not feeling flustered, we quickly popped over to Sams Club. We got it there, went home, and opened it up.
Let me do a quick explanation of Rock Band - it’s like the game Guitar Hero, in which the player has an interactive guitar that he uses to play the song, much like DDR. In Rock Band, there is also a drumset, a microphone, a bass, as well as the guitar.
After a few minutes of technical difficulties, we had the game rocking. We quickly named our band “The Recliners,” due to the new couches in our living room. I commanded guitar, Tommy on drums, Eric at bass, and Daddy-O on the vocals.
We started out the world tour with the catchy “Say it ain’t So” by Weezer. After playing the first song, we truly understood how awesome the experience was.
That night, we were The Recliners.
Since then, we have a new band, Dad and the Simivias. Dad on vocals, me at guitar, Olivia on drums, and Tommy pumpin’ out some bass. I have a solo guitar tour, and dad has a solo vocals tour, which is very fun. My favorite songs on the game are “Green Grass and High Tides” as made famous by the Outlaws, and “Orange Crush” - REM.

Hello, everyone!
The month of November went off without a hitch. Tommy’s birthday was fun, he got a sweet 16 gig iPod Touch. Thanksgiving was nice, Julia came over and we all had a good time. The annual wing night was tasty, as usual. I didnt have as many wings, but I wasn’t as hungry.
December is good so far, the whole 80 degree thing kind of makes it weird, but hey, its Florida. What do you expect? School is hard, as always.
Last night I saw the movie “August Rush”. It was excellent.
I’m going to a scout camp this upcoming weekend. It’s a camporee, which means there will be a ton of events and competitions. The theme is 1880’s, and you can dress up and cook out or do whatever, kind of like regular original scout stuff. Our patrol is going to make a stew in a crockpot, dig a hole in the gound and pop it in there and cook it all day long. I’m pretty excited, I really enjoy camping and I don’t get to go very often. An upcoming campout is going to the USS Yorktown. I am pumped for that. I went a couple of years ago, and it is still my favorite campout.
Oh! as you may have noticed, I copied Julia and added a new feature to my blog. Its called Twitter, and I can update it from either my phone or my computer at anytime. You can follow other people (your friends) that have Twitter, so that whenever they update it, it sends you a text message telling you what it says. Pretty sweet stuff.

Gators Dockside.
Wing Night.
So much food.
I dont think im ever going to eat again. I had a total of 21, 10 of them buffalo style chipotle, the other eleven were grilled carribbean jerk. Tommy and my dad had 24, so I was pretty close.
In other news, I am growing. I am up to like 5′3″ or 5′4″, and i look at it one way; more inches, more wings.

Wow, what a busy week I have had. Exams were monday tuesday and wednesday.
Monday, I took math and spanish. Math wasnt good enough - im going to get C in the class, a 77.6. Ive got next nine weeks to get an 83, so that i will have a B for the semester, which is what counts for my transcripts. In spanish, i had a 97, and after the exam i have a 95. Solid A.
Tuesday, i took AP world history and AP psychology. AP was the hardest test i’ve ever taken, but with the curve, i got a B and have a B for the first nine weeks. Psych is the same, however Doc doesn’t count the nine weeks exam grade if it is worse than your overall. I didn’t do so hot on the test, but i still have an 81 in the class, B.
Today i took English and Chemistry. English was pretty easy, i have a solid feeling that i got an A, (which we all know equates to about an 88 or 89.) and chemistry went pretty good as well. I need to get an 86 to keep my A, so i think i got above an 86.
If everything goes how i think : C,B,A,A,B,A. for the semester, im hoping B,B,A,A,B,A
We’ll see.

So homecoming was last night. I’ve made my list of the top five things about the entire night, and trust me, it was some difficult decisions.
Number 5 -
9 oz. steak on a sizzling skillet, yum. Tommy and Hannah also got steaks, and Julia got a four-cheese-ravioli that looked incredible. Uncle Greg was fun to have as a waiter, and im sure it would have been different without him.
Number 4 -
When “Twist and Shout” Came On.
Probably the most dancing I’ve since Eric’s bar mitzvah. That has always been a fun song to just pump it up to, and it came on at just the right time.
Number 3 -
My Conversation with Julia After the Dance.
At my house afterwards, Julia and I had a conversation about looking back on your life, and seeing what decisions you made to influence where you are at that point. I started thinking about it, and I remembered the first time I met Julia, getting ready for scout camp. It seeems like we have become better friends every day since then.
Number 2 -
Taking pictures with Julia Before the Dance/Julia as a Whole.”
I think that this picture is one of the best pictures I’ve been in for a while now. Julia looked more beautiful than I have ever seen her, and i was stunned when I first saw her.
Number 1 -
Looking Back on this Weekend from Now On.
From now on, whenever I think about this weekend, I’ll have all four of these things to look back on. Dinner, Twist and Shout, Julia, and meaningful conversations make up about one of the best teams I have heard of in a long time, and I’m pretty pumped up that I experienced all of them in one bout.
